Senior Veterinarian – Practice Partnership & Ownership – Southlake, TX

 

A growing veterinary practice is seeking an experienced Senior Veterinarian to help launch and lead a new practice while having a meaningful role in its clinical direction and long-term growth. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who wants more than a traditional clinical position and is interested in practice leadership, financial incentives, and potential ownership or partnership. The veterinarian will have the opportunity to help shape the practice, establish its culture, and deliver high-quality medicine with strong operational support.

 

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, comprehensive veterinary care to patients.
• Perform physical examinations, diagnostics, treatment planning, surgery, and other appropriate medical procedures.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and recommendations clearly with clients.
• Establish and maintain high standards of medical care within the practice.
• Help develop clinical protocols, workflows, and standards as the practice grows.
• Mentor and support associate veterinarians and veterinary support staff.
• Contribute to recruiting, onboarding, and developing members of the veterinary team.
• Promote a collaborative, positive, and patient-focused hospital culture.
• Participate in community outreach, client education, and practice-growth initiatives.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with applicable veterinary regulations.
• Support the long-term development and success of the practice.

 

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary program.
• Active veterinary license or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice.
• Previous experience practicing veterinary medicine.
• Strong clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and client-service abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and other team members.
• Demonstrated interest in leadership, mentorship, and professional development.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in practice development, leadership, and potential ownership or partnership.
