Finance & Administration Assistant
Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Finance & Administration Assistant to join our client's team.
Our client is looking for an organised and detail-oriented individual to support the internal finance function and general office administration. Working closely with the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will assist with daily bookkeeping, financial transactions, reconciliations, invoicing, financial reporting and record keeping, while also helping ensure the smooth running of day-to-day office operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily bookkeeping, accounting operations and the processing of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain accurate financial records, post journal entries, and perform bank, credit card and petty cash reconciliations.
- Prepare and follow up on customer invoices, manage vendor records, and support monthly accounts, financial reporting, audit documentation and month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team, including handling correspondence, filing documents, archiving records, and monitoring office supplies.
- Support the Head of Finance and management team with administrative tasks and provide cover for office administration when required.
Key Requirements:
- Diploma, degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, finance assistance or an administrative role.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures, with strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage, as well as MS Office, particularly Excel. Familiarity with CRM or PMS systems such as Scoro is an advantage.
- Strong organisational, time-management and communication skills, fluency in English, and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly while working independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience or knowledge of the maritime or yachting industry would be considered an asset.
