IT Project Manager

OVERVIEW

The role involves managing a Payments Technology project within the banking sector, focusing on software development, AWS Cloud, and API integration. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project timelines, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring the successful delivery of project objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive project management experience, particularly within the financial or banking industry, and will have a proven track record of navigating complex project environments. Strong judgment, communication, and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to manage risks and resolve issues effectively.

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Contract Length: 12 months

Pay: $95-100 CAD

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the Payments Technology project, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and facilitate software development processes.
• Utilize AWS Cloud and API technologies to enhance project outcomes.
• Apply project management methodologies to effectively plan, execute, and close projects.
• Identify and manage project risks, including interdependencies and potential impacts on deliverables.
• Resolve project issues promptly and efficiently to maintain project momentum.
• Communicate project status, updates, and challenges to stakeholders through verbal and written reports.
• Foster collaboration across teams to ensure cohesive project execution and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Demonstrate learning agility by adapting to new challenges and project requirements.
• Utilize influence skills to drive project initiatives and gain stakeholder buy-in.
• Manage ambiguity and navigate challenging situations with confidence and professionalism.
• Deliver Payments initiatives, leveraging previous experience to enhance project success.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on project management experience in the financial or banking industry.
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects related to Payments technology.
• In-depth judgment skills to make informed decisions in complex situations.
• Expertise in stakeholder management, with a focus on building strong relationships.
• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to address project challenges effectively.
• Collaboration and team skills, particularly in cross-group environments.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Experience with AWS Cloud and API technologies.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.

PREFERRED

• Previous project management experience specifically with BMO or similar banking institutions.
