Senior Accounting and Consolidation Analyst (18-Month Contract)
We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate about financial reporting, accounting excellence, and process improvement to join our team as a Senior Accounting & Consolidation Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting activities, financial statement preparation, consolidations, audit support, and maintaining the integrity of OLG's general ledger. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, strengthening internal controls, and delivering accurate and timely financial information to support business decision-making.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Senior Manager Accounting, you will be empowered to:
- Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all financial reporting requirements.
- Lead the consolidation of monthly and annual financial information, while analyzing financial results and identifying key trends and variances.
- Prepare and maintain OLG's monthly financial statements, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting systems, data, and internal controls.
- Compile, prepare, and analyze journal entries for review and approval, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and financial reporting requirements.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial information for input into the Corporate General Ledger in accordance with IFRS and organizational standards.
- Support the development, maintenance, and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting and related compliance requirements.
- Prepare audit working papers and support external and internal audits by responding to requests and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
- Perform account reconciliations and financial analysis to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records and balances.
- Participate in projects and strategic initiatives by supporting business requirements, testing activities, and process improvements related to accounting and financial reporting.
- Prepare financial information and analyses in response to requests from internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, government agencies, service providers, and business partners.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME
Education & Experience:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or working toward.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting, auditing, financial reporting, or controllership experience.
- Experience preparing financial statements, consolidations, account reconciliations, and audit working papers.
- Experience supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting processes.
- Experience working with IFRS accounting standards is preferred.
- Experience supporting internal controls, audits, and process improvement initiatives is considered an asset.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Finance and business teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with financial reporting systems, accounting software, ERP solutions, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity.
- Ability to exercise sound professional judgment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
