Role: Senior Accountant 
Location: Leeds 
Salary: £45,000

A well-established and highly respected independent accountancy practice is looking to strengthen its team with an experienced Senior Accountant.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced practice accountant who enjoys working directly with clients and is looking for a varied role covering accounts, tax, advisory work and client relationship management.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant job include:

• Preparing statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
• Preparing management accounts
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients
• Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
• Visiting client premises where required
• Assisting with tax compliance and advisory work
• Reviewing corporation tax returns

Requirements of the Senior Accountant job include:

• ACA or ACCA qualified, although part qualified individuals will be considered 
• UK accounting experience is essential 
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience with IRIS, Xero, Sage or similar software would be advantageous
• A proactive approach and genuine desire to continue developing within practice
