Senior Manager, Reporting and Consolidation
Department: Finance
Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Reporting To: Amanda Reid
Description
This is a newly created role, established to act as the “glue” between the Accounting and Finance functions. The volume and breadth of financial data moving between operational accounting and financial reporting continues to increase. The role exists to own that data flow: it ensures financial information passes accurately, completely, and on time between Accounting and Finance, so that both functions work from a single, reconciled source of truth.
The Senior Manager, Reporting & Consolidation owns the US general accounting, consolidation, and intercompany accounting functions, and oversees international accounting operations and statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions. It is deliberately a hands-on, player-manager position: the successful candidate will personally lead the technical consolidation and reporting work while building, leading, and developing a team of accountants who report directly into the role.
As the Company integrates newly acquired entities into the global accounting structure, the role takes direct ownership of the consolidated reporting process, intercompany accounting, and US accounting operations. Working closely with the Finance and FP&A teams, the international controllers, and external partners, it ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, statutory compliance, and audit readiness worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the primary bridge between the Accounting and Finance functions, owning the end-to-end flow of financial data between the two teams so that both work from a single, reconciled source of truth.
• Build, lead, and develop a team of accountants who report directly into this role, balancing hands-on delivery of the numbers with day-to-day people leadership.
• Safeguard the integrity of financial data within NetSuite, ensuring the ERP operates as a reliable single source of truth across accounting and reporting.
• Lead all U.S. accounting activities, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and internal policies.
• Own the global consolidations and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Own and manage intercompany accounting, including reconciliations, eliminations, settlements, and foreign currency matters.
• Oversee international accounting operations and statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage U.S. entity accounting, investments, financial transactions, and month-end close processes.
• Support daily accounting operations, including general ledger, consolidation, and foreign currency activities.
• Own ASC 842 lease accounting and related reporting requirements.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, disclosures, and audit deliverables.
• Serve as the primary liaison for external and statutory audits.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex accounting matters and new accounting standards.
• Support M&A activities, including purchase accounting and integration of acquired entities.
• Line-manage, mentor, and develop the reporting and consolidation team, building technical capability and bench strength across the group.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and financial reporting requirements globally.
• Partner cross-functionally to support strategic business initiatives, including financing and acquisitions.
• Enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting processes to improve accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
• Drive process improvements to support scalable global accounting operations.
• Provide timely and insightful financial reporting to the Group Controller.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
• Strong experience with consolidations, intercompany accounting, and US general ledger accounting in a multi-entity global environment.
• Experience overseeing international accounting operations and statutory reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong understanding of foreign currency accounting and intercompany relationships.
• Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including integration activities and purchase price accounting.
• Strong technical US GAAP and IFRS accounting knowledge, including business combinations, ASC 606, and ASC 842.
• Experience managing audits and working with external auditors across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience owning the flow and reconciliation of financial data between an ERP or general ledger and downstream financial reporting, consolidation, and FP&A processes.
