Job Scope

The Product Manager, Product & Manufacturing Integration serves as a key product management leader supporting product lines and projects owned by other Product Managers and Product Directors across the business. While this role does not have direct ownership of a product line strategy, roadmap, or P&L, it is responsible for executing core product management activities that enable growth, operational excellence, product lifecycle management, and successful new product introductions.

Located within the Ensenada manufacturing facility, this role acts as the primary product management representative for local operations and serves as a critical link between US-based product teams and plant-based functions including Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, Customer Experience, and Finance. The Product Manager, Product & Manufacturing Integration leverages strong business acumen, product knowledge, analytical capabilities, and cross-functional leadership skills to support product line objectives, improve business performance, and drive execution of strategic initiatives.

This role is ideal for an experienced product management professional who demonstrates the capabilities and judgment of a Product Manager while focusing primarily on execution, business analysis, product lifecycle management, and cross-functional project leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Product Lifecycle Management & Business Support

• Supports Product Managers, Sr Product Managers and Product Directors in the execution of product line strategies and business objectives.
• Leads and coordinates product lifecycle management activities including product launches, sustaining engineering projects, product changes, line extensions, value engineering initiatives, product transitions, and product discontinuations.
• Gathers, analyzes, and synthesizes sales, quality, warranty, customer, manufacturing, and financial data to identify opportunities and make recommendations that improve business performance.
• Leads and / or supports development of business cases, forecasts, market assessments, and investment analyses for new products, product changes, and operational improvement initiatives.
• Monitors product performance through key business and operational metrics and recommends corrective actions when needed.
• Maintains knowledge of assigned products, applications, customers, channels, competitive offerings, and industry trends.

Manufacturing Partnership  

• Partner closely with Operations and Supply Chain teams to support product line priorities and resolve product-related issues

• Provides product leadership and business perspective for manufacturing initiatives affecting product cost, quality, delivery, and customer experience.

• Leverage Voice of Customer, Voice of Manufacturing, and Voice of Quality insights, along with warranty and field performance data, to identify and prioritize product improvements.

• Lead or support Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) projects that improve product cost competitiveness while maintaining customer value and product performance.

• Collaborate with plant leadership to address manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and supply continuity challenges that impact product performance and customer satisfaction.
• Serve as the local product expert, providing training, guidance, and support to Operations and Supply Chain teams

New Product Introduction (NPI)

• Supports successful introduction of new products into manufacturing by leading product management activities throughout development and launch phases.
• Collaborates cross functionally to identify and mitigate launch risks.
• Participates in stage-gate reviews, manufacturing readiness assessments, and commercialization activities.
• Helps ensure product specifications, customer requirements, feature sets, positioning, and business objectives are accurately communicated and executed during implementation.
  

 Required Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in product management, engineering, operations, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, or related business functions.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate in both languages.
• Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to connect operational and commercial metrics to business performance.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering results in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate multiple data sources and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Ability to collaborate and influence across functions, departments, and geographic locations.
• Experience with value engineering, cost reduction, sourcing, and supply chain initiatives.
• Knowledge of quality systems, warranty analysis, root cause problem solving, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and execution discipline.
• Experience supporting product lifecycle management activities, stage-gate development processes, product launches, and sustaining product portfolios.
• Experience supporting hardware, security, building products, or durable goods product lines preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.
