Role Overview
We are seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to support strategic communications and engagement initiatives for Applied Materials' Semiconductor Product Group (SPG) Strategy & Product Marketing team. This role will support the execution of high-impact customer events, industry forums, executive engagements, internal communications, and integrated marketing programs that enhance product visibility and strengthen Applied's leadership position in the semiconductor industry. The ideal candidate brings experience in event strategy and execution, vendor and media management, internal communications, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Execution
- Support the planning and execution of high-impact showcase events aligned with major industry gatherings, including large-format technology forums, regional symposia, customer engagements, expert panels at global conferences and university engagements.
- Coordinate all facets of event execution, including venue identification, vendor engagement (e.g., audiovisual, design, hospitality, transportation, accommodations), contract negotiation, site inspections, and end-to-end logistics support.
- Manage event registration, attendee communications, surveys, reporting, and onsite event management through Cvent.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop compelling event content and ensure alignment with business objectives and brand messaging.
Vendor & Media Management
- Support the management of external agencies and vendors to produce high-quality promotional materials.
- Coordinate vendor deliverables, budgets, timelines, and logistics to support program execution.
- Support media outreach activities and recommend appropriate channels to help reach target audiences and maximize campaign impact.
Internal Communications
- Develop and distribute internal communications that keep employees informed and engaged, including announcements, newsletters, leadership messages, and event-related updates.
- Partner with cross-functional teams—product marketing, sales, and engineering—to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely internal messaging.
- Support the rollout of product launches and company initiatives through clear internal communication plans, maintaining channels and templates that ensure a consistent voice and brand.
- Drive the planning and execution of internal events, including strategy meetings and employee engagement activities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including executives, customers, partners, academia and vendors.
- Track and report on event performance, media engagement, and campaign effectiveness using relevant KPIs and analytics tools.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in marketing communications, product marketing, corporate communications, public relations, event marketing, or a related field.
- Experience supporting large-scale, multi-stakeholder events in a technology or B2B environment.
- Proficiency with event management platforms including Cvent, including event setup, registration management, attendee communications, reporting, and analytics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including internal and executive communications.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Experience in high-tech industries preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.

YesThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
