About the role 

We are looking for a Specialist - Digital Learning Designer to support the Learning and Enablement team deliver learner-centred content for the Modern ERP program. In this hands-on role, you will turn approved scripts, system processes and subject matter expertise into clear digital learning assets that build awareness, readiness and confidence before training and system access.

What you’ll be doing 

Reporting to the RT Manager, Learning and Enablement and working collaboratively within the Modern ERP Learning and Enablement team, you will be: 

• Developing, editing and publishing Synthesia videos using approved templates, avatars and Rio Tinto learning standards. 

• Converting learning outlines, scripts and process information into SAP Enable Now simulations, system demonstrations, process walkthroughs, task-based activities and other learner-ready assets. 

• Partnering with subject matter experts, Global Process Owner teams, regional teams, internal translation teams and system integration training partners to validate content and incorporate feedback. 

• Designing visual and accessible learning approaches suited to different operational audiences, including frontline environments where image-based content may be more effective. 

• Supporting awareness campaigns, pre-training content, Train-the-Trainer materials, deployment learning and hypercare resources across the learning lifecycle. 

• Applying established templates, brand, accessibility and language-quality standards so materials are accurate and ready to publish. 

• Managing source files, screen recordings, review cycles and risks to deliver quality assets to agreed timeframes. 

• Gathering learner and stakeholder feedback to refine content and improve learning outcomes and user adoption.

Required for Success

• Skills and Capabilities: Strong instructional design capability, with the ability to translate complex business processes and change concepts into clear, learner-centred digital content. 

• Experience: Demonstrated experience developing engaging digital learning assets and video-based learning content in a complex organisation or transformation environment. 

• Stakeholder Engagement: Experience working with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to gather source content, validate accuracy and manage iterative review cycles. 

• Systems: Practical experience with digital learning authoring or video tools; experience using Synthesia is highly desirable. 

• Qualifications: A qualification in education, learning and development, communications, digital media or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. 

Helpful for Success 

• Experience supporting an ERP, SAP, Workday, procurement or other large-scale technology or business transformation program. 

• Experience with Synthesia, SAP Enable Now, change communication content or business process change. 

• Experience with WalkMe or in-system guidance tools; training can be provided. 

• Experience adapting learning content for operational, frontline or mining audiences.
