Description
The Opportunity:
The Facilities Assistant Manager is responsible for the overall management and operation of CACI's facilities in Sterling VA. This role ensures that all facilities are maintained in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner. The Facilities Manager will oversee maintenance operations, manage vendor relationships, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement cost-effective solutions to enhance facility performance.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Repairs: Schedule and oversee routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and minor projects (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with and manage external contractors (janitorial, landscaping, security) and suppliers. Assist with escorting visitors and vendors inside classified workspace.
- Operations Support: Respond to facility issues, manage work orders, conduct walkthroughs, and ensure smooth daily operations. Advise staff on proper procedures about Facilities requests; reinforce policies and follow guidance from Senior Facility Manager.
- Safety & Compliance: Help enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations, including fire drills and emergency planning.
- Budget & Inventory: Assist with tracking expenses, paying invoices, and managing facility-related inventory. Order and stock pantry supplies (beverages, paper products, etc.) and office supplies.
- Space Management: Support office moves, furniture procurement, and efficient space utilization.
- Reporting: Document inspections, track completed work and provide status updates.
- Maintain readiness for executive leadership visits: Confirm facility conditions, and ensure areas are prepared for senior leadership meetings. Daily walkthroughs of the facilities to make sure spaces are clean and stocked. Clean refrigerators bi-weekly, and maintain coffee machines and other pantry appliances.
- Process daily incoming/outgoing mail, packages to include distributing them to the correct recipients.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Top-Secret/SCI security clearance with Ability to Obtain Polygraph.
- Energetic, friendly, and highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Self-starter who takes initiative and works independently while collaborating effectively with the team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Word, Outlook, and comfort with other Microsoft tools
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree or three to five years of experience preferred.
Desired:
- Active Top-Secret/SCI Security Clearance with Polygraphy

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
