Your Mission
The Terminal Operator is responsible for executing and monitoring petroleum product transfer and related activities in a safe and efficient manner. This role includes monitoring and controlling terminal equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and maintaining operational records
What will you be doing?
- Loading and discharging of petroleum products to and from ships. Berthing and Unberthing of the vessels at berths.
- Inter-tank and pipeline transfers. Pigging and stripping of the pipelines. Changing manifold connections. Doping and chemical additivation.
- Monitor and control the utilities such as air, nitrogen, water, diesel, slops etc.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of operational equipment.
- Operate and monitor terminal equipment including pumps, valves, overhead cranes and Loading Arms.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment status and maintenance activities.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent safety, health and environmental incidents.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Participate in emergency response activities and relevant drills
Does this sound like you?
- Engineering diploma in chemical, mechanical or Marine stream or equivalent
- Relevant Marine Officer certification is preferred
- Relevant certifications in industrial safety, hazardous materials handling, or equipment operation are advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in terminal operations, oil and gas industry, or a similar field.
- Experience with handling hazardous materials and operating heavy machinery.
- Previous experience of working on Tankers (Deck Officer preferred), or at SPM/FPSO.
- Experience in the Oil Industry (onboard/ashore) in Marine/SPM environments is an advantage.
- Knowledge of working over water, in hazardous areas, small floating crafts, PTW system, ATEX concept.
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to speak, read and write English and to read and comprehend technical operational procedures and manuals
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry moderately heavy equipment, working, stooping, kneeling, bending, climbing and walking distances in all types of terrain
- Ability to work in confined space, working at height, working on or above water and outdoors in open environment with extremes of heat and cold
- Ability to work alone and with minimal supervision
- Expected to be first responder in case of emergency such as fire or spills
- Shall be working in the shifts and ability to work with diverse team
- Be able to accommodate in “on-call” rotation if required
- The role requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to strict safety protocols.
