PMO Manager

Join the Leidos team on the front lines of digital transformation for the Department of Defense. As the PMO Manager for the Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services (ACSS) program, you will lead the Program Management Office function, providing strategic oversight, governance, and operational excellence across multiple programs and projects critical to national defense.

As the PMO Manager, you will provide strategic leadership for the Program Management Office supporting the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services (ACSS) portfolio. You will establish and lead the PMO function, developing and maintaining standards, processes, governance, and best practices that drive operational excellence, program performance, and continuous improvement across the portfolio. In this highly visible role, you will partner with executive leadership, program teams, and Air Force customers to ensure program delivery aligns with organizational objectives, customer requirements, regulatory standards, and mission priorities. Clearance: Active Secret (U.S. Citizenship Required)

Key responsibilities include:

• Establish, lead, and mature the PMO function, providing strategic direction, governance, and oversight across the ACSS portfolio.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and Air Force customers on portfolio strategy, program health, performance, risks, and emerging priorities.
• Develop and deliver executive-level briefings and recommendations, identifying potential course corrections and strategic initiatives to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
• Build, lead, and mentor high-performing program teams while promoting accountability, collaboration, and consistent execution across the portfolio.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across operations, engineering, cybersecurity, contracts, finance, and executive management to align priorities and drive successful mission outcomes.
• Anticipate, assess, and mitigate complex program risks, dependencies, and operational challenges that could impact cost, schedule, performance, or mission delivery.
• Establish and oversee quality assurance, governance, and performance management processes to ensure deliverables meet contractual, customer, and organizational standards.
• Drive continuous improvement through the systematic capture, evaluation, and application of lessons learned, best practices, and performance insights.
• Identify and implement opportunities for automation, process optimization, and improved operational efficiency across the PMO and broader program.
• Leverage enterprise platforms and tools, including SharePoint, RMT, Costpoint, and Fusion, to improve program visibility, reporting, workflow management, service delivery, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• MBA or Master's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
• Minimum 6-10 years of progressive program/project management experience
• Experience establishing and leading PMO functions, processes, and governance frameworks
• Demonstrated success implementing process improvement and automation initiatives with measurable ROI
• Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and virtual collaboration
• Active Secret clearance required and ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with USAF and DoD organizational structures, regulations, and directives.
• Experience supporting a Program Management Office (PMO) on large government contracts.
• Proficiency with software development tools and methodologies.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
