The Business Intelligence team is a high-impact group of business operations professionals who love data and technology. We standardize and digitize processes, automate reporting, and convert data into clear, actionable insights—grounded in FLIGHT DECK fundamentals—to eliminate inefficiencies and enable faster, smarter decisions that improve business outcomes.

As a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer, you will build solutions that automate processes and unlock analytics at scale. This role requires more than technical coding ability — you must bring a thorough understanding of business processes and operations, and the judgment to know which problems are worth solving and how a solution should actually work in practice. You'll partner with process owners to translate real operational workflows into technical requirements, extract, cleanse, and blend data across diverse sources, and develop clear, actionable visualizations that drive decisions. This is a senior-level role: you'll be expected to lead projects with minimal oversight and mentor less experienced team members.

Job Description

What You'll Do 

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational processes and translate them into technical requirements before building solutions 

• Contribute to process automation and data analytics projects using modern BI and data platforms 

• Extract, cleanse, and blend data from internal and external sources 

• Build and maintain automated workflows and pipelines in Databricks (SQL, PySpark, notebooks/jobs) 

• Use AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate development, testing, and documentation of BI tools and automations 

• Partner with DT and Data Science to expand and sustain solutions 

• Create simple, direct, and actionable visualizations that guide users to action 

• Lead project deliverables and deadlines with clear plans and status updates; mentor junior team members as needed 

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in STEM, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or a related field

• Minimum 5 years in business operations, data analytics, BI development, or process automation 

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with a modern data/BI platform (e.g., Databricks, Power BI) 

• Minimum 2 years of experience directly partnering with business/functional teams (e.g., operations, finance, supply chain, commercial) to define requirements or process improvements 

• Minimum 1 year leading or serving as technical lead on a project or workstream 

Desired Characteristics and Skills 

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, or similar) to build or accelerate analytics workflows 

• Familiarity with Python for data transformation and automation 

• Experience utilizing FLIGHT DECK principles to drive standard work and continuous improvement 

• Strong oral and written communication, with the ability to translate technical details into business-friendly insights 

• Focused, quick learner who prioritizes effectively and delivers results in a timely manner 

Please note: This posting indicates that the position is onsite at our Evendale, OH Campus. However, this role is eligible for fully remote arrangements across the United States.  

 
The base pay range for this position is $126,000-170,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.  [If equity-eligible, should say “You are also equity-eligible”] This posting is expected to close on Friday October 2nd, 2026.
