Description
Starting pay is dependent on an applicant's relevant experience.

This position could close at any time.**- Answers the telephone and receives callers to the office, answering their inquiries regarding permits and compliance, soil erosion issues and other related areas or directs them to the proper source. Takes complaints from concerned parties regarding drains and forwards to the Drain Commissioner or Deputy.
- Responsible for accounts receivable of the office include preparing invoices for title companies, entering payment information into the computer, balancing receipts with computer totals and preparing deposits and transmittals.
- Processes accounts payables for the office, ensuring proper authorization and types drain orders for payment. Maintains the revolving drain fund records.
- Responsible for maintaining and balancing Drain Office Petty Cash drawer.
- Responsible for the bookkeeping and balancing of each drain account with the County Treasurer.
- May assist Drain Project & Assessment Administrator to provide information to title companies, banks, mortgage companies, property owners and other interested parties concerning special assessments, payoffs and other drain-related matters.
- Files a variety of materials such as correspondence, invoices, maps, legal opinions, DNR permits and applications and other related documents and helps maintain office filing systems.
- Compiles information from records and files for the preparation of various reports.
- Type's correspondence, reports, applications, forms and other documents. Prepares mailings for assessments, meetings and other purposes.
- Sorts and directs mail, makes copies of maps and other documents, sends faxes and performs related support tasks.
- Moves storage boxes containing drain documents from storage to work area.
3+ years of administrative experience required with working knowledge of basic accounting, Microsoft Office, and customer service experience preferred.
Must be accurate typist with a high typing proficiency.
