Description

At Mur&Partners, we are looking to recruit a Key Account Manager based in Lisbon for a well-established international company operating in the chemical industry, with a strong focus on industrial solutions.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to take end-to-end responsibility for a portfolio of strategic customers, working closely with both the business and clients to drive sustainable growth, build long-term relationships, and maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of strategic customer accounts, acting as the main commercial point of contact.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations and establish partnership models that create long-term value for both the customer and the business. 
  • Define and implement commercial plans focused on business growth, profitability, and sell-out performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Trade, to ensure the effective execution of the commercial strategy.

What We Are Looking For

  • A professional with around 7–10 years of commercial experience, bringing solid seniority in Key Account Management.
  • A hands-on profile, comfortable working close to both customers and the business, with a strong execution mindset.
  • Experience in FMCG, retail, distribution, DIY, home improvement, or building materials sectors.
  • Proven success managing organized retail accounts and strategic customers within highly competitive markets.
  • Strong experience leading complex commercial negotiations and building long-term business partnerships.
  • An analytical, commercially driven professional with a strong results-oriented mindset.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; an MBA or postgraduate qualification will be considered an advantage.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese.
