P3SUMMARY:
The Senior Financial Analyst role within the Growth Finance organization will serve as a key finance partner to BU Innovation leadership, providing financial reporting, analysis, and decision support across Poultry, Prepared Foods, and Beef & Pork segments. This position will lead recurring and ad hoc financial activities, translate complex data into actionable insights, and present recommendations to Innovation leadership and cross-functional business partners. Key responsibilities include monthly reporting; developing KPI scorecards and Power BI dashboards; supporting innovation initiatives and financial governance; coordinating monthly financial results; and driving process improvements. The role will operate within a dynamic environment across multiple business units and help establish consistent financial processes as the Innovation Finance function continues to evolve.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead monthly reporting across Innovation projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication of results, risks, and opportunities.
Enhance and standardize reporting tools, including Power BI dashboards, Innovation Pipeline reports, KPI scorecards, and executive-ready financial summaries.
Coordinate innovation financial activities and reporting across Poultry, Prepared Foods, and Beef & Pork, partnering with Business Unit Finance and cross-functional teams to align assumptions, resolve issues, and maintain consistent processes.
Lead cross-functional meetings and financial discussions with Innovation, R&D, Business Unit Finance, Corporate Accounting, and other partners to advance strategic initiatives and drive timely decisions.
Develop and deliver training for Innovation teams and business unit partners on financial processes, reporting requirements, tools, and governance expectations.
Oversee Innovation SKU master data and related financial data integrity, proactively identifying gaps and coordinating corrective action.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations for high-visibility Innovation initiatives, operating independently and escalating risks, opportunities, and decisions as appropriate.
Support the continued integration and development of the Innovation Finance function by documenting processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and decision support.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience: 3 years of related experience in corporate finance, FP&A, accounting, or a comparable analytical role; experience supporting multiple business units or innovation initiatives is preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for leadership and cross-functional partners.
Business Partnership: Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, lead cross-functional discussions, and build alignment across business units and functions.
Computer Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience working with large datasets and business processes. Experience with Power BI, Analysis for Excel, SAP, and AI-enabled tools is preferred.
Strong financial acumen, analytical judgment, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, assess risks and opportunities, and recommend action.
Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines, and adapt in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and willingness to lead through ambiguity and take ownership of new challenges.
