The New York Post Digital Network seeks a commercially minded and proactive Social Media Marketing Manager who is passionate about creative, commerce-first lifestyle or commerce creative experience to join our expanding commerce division.
We are looking for a creative and experienced candidate to play a pivotal role in conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing visual elements that enhance the overall impact and engagement of our commerce-related social media content. You will collaborate closely with our commerce editorial, design, marketing, and product teams to ensure a cohesive and engaging visual experience for our followers.
Reporting to the Senior Commerce Social Media Marketing Manager, you will have a significant impact on the success of our growing digital commerce division.
Responsibilities:
● Collaborate with social and commerce teams, leveraging established and emerging platforms for cutting-edge social media strategies that align with the New York Post Digital Network’s commerce goals, driving content engagement, link clicks and sales.
● Innovate content presentation on social media, experimenting with formats and interactive elements for engaging graphics and videos that showcase commerce-related content.
● Work seamlessly with editorial, design, marketing, and product teams (NY Post, Page Six, Decider, NYPostSports, California Post) to align visual content, enhancing individual brand initiatives.
● Maintain up-to-date proficiency in social media tech and best practices, adapting to tools, algorithms, and platform advancements.
● Manage social media inquiries from sales and branded content teams, ensuring timely responses.
● Execute strategies promoting NY Post and Page Six merchandise across social platforms.
● Track and report on internet trends, particularly in the shopping sphere, social commerce specific trends.
● Proactively engage the audience with timely, trend-inspired content that resonates within the commerce realm.
● Convey ideas adeptly to both internal and external stakeholders, fostering productive collaboration.
Qualifications:
● Extensive experience managing multiple social media accounts, preferably with a large following.
● Knowledge of micro and macro digital media trends and emerging platforms
● Proven ability to think strategically and translate strategic goals into actionable social media plans that drive commerce-focused results.
● Ability to multitask, balance priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment, quickly adapting to changing trends and leveraging them to enhance social media strategies.
● Proficiency in metrics-based decision-making with an emphasis on reading and interpreting data.
● Adept at analyzing social media data to identify trends, make informed decisions, and refine strategies for optimal engagement.
● Experience collaborating with e-commerce platforms or commerce-related brands, translating product offerings into engaging social media content.
● Ability to be both a self-starter and team player who exhibits strong interpersonal and communication skills.
● Photo and video editing experience in Canva, Capcut, Premium and Adobe Suite
● Excellent writing and copy-editing skills.
● Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
● Be comfortable in front of the camera / recording and editing videos with yourself present.
Note: The New York Post adheres to an on-site work model. This role will be expected to report into the office 5 days per week.

Base Pay Range: $62,000 - $80,000We’re committed to offering competitive and flexible compensation to attract top talent. This pay range reflects our good faith estimate for the role and may vary based on a candidate’s experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors.
For bonus-eligible roles, targets are determined based on multiple considerations, including market benchmarks and individual contributions.
