At Perpetual Wealth we are seeking an experienced Company Secretary to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting the governance framework of a newly formed wealth management business during a significant period of transformation and growth.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer & Head of Legal, you will be responsible for establishing and supporting the Company Secretariat function across multiple subsidiary boards and committees. Working closely with senior executives, directors, regulators, and key stakeholders, you will ensure the highest standards of corporate governance are maintained.
As Company Secretary, you will:
- Provide Company Secretariat support to subsidiary boards and committees.
- Coordinate board and committee meeting schedules, agendas, papers, minutes, and action registers.
- Partner with Board Chairs and executive stakeholders to plan and facilitate effective board business.
- Monitor and follow up outstanding actions arising from board and committee meetings.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Advise boards and committees on governance matters and best-practice governance frameworks.
- Review and maintain governance policies and procedures in partnership with Governance, Risk & Compliance teams.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A degree in Commerce, Business, Governance, or Law.
- Demonstrated experience as a Company Secretary or within a senior governance, legal, or compliance function.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles and regulatory obligations.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
