Description
We are seeking experienced Delivery Manager to join our customer delivery operations in Japan by playing a key role in managing project activities throughout the Agile software delivery lifecycle.
The Delivery Manager is responsible for fulfilling project objectives in close cooperation with project’s Program Director. The Delivery Manager is responsible for, including but not limited to, the following:
The Delivery Manager is responsible for fulfilling project objectives in close cooperation with project’s Program Director. The Delivery Manager is responsible for, including but not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for technical program implementation;
- Performs risk, issue, and dependency management
- Responsible for escalation management and executive reporting
- Delivery proficiency of the EIS program including System Integration (SI) partners;
- Resource planning and management based on program financial commitments; and
Coordination of Program dependencies with other EIS departments, as necessary
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain end-to-end delivery control by keeping communication and alignment among Program teams, SaaS representatives, and EIS Product Owners, ensuring adherence to established standards, rules, and delivery frameworks;
- Technical Program Implementation - orchestrate the alignment of solution architecture, coordination of infrastructure, and the implementation of software to achieve a program's implementation objectives;
- Monitor and control project deliverable commitments, report and escalate where necessary variances to Program Director;
- Proactively assess implementation risks, and coordinate mitigation in collaboration with Program Management; and
Contribute to the program plan, for all phases of delivery within the customer commitment, by collaborating with Program Management.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 5+ years Professional Services or Insurance Industry project management;
- Insurance industry focused with background either as an analyst/technology employee of an insurance company or having acted as a consultant providing services to insurance companies; and Certifications (optional): SAFe, Scrum/Agile, PMP
- Strong Customer orientation;
- Practical experience in Agile methodology (preferably scrum);
- Project Management experience;
- Advanced user of Jira or other task tracking tools;
- Fluent in Japanese and business English
- Ability to work with partners and colleagues in a multicultural and different time zone environment;
- Ability to understand complex business processes;
- Knowledge of end-to-end implementation practices across skills (BA, Architecture, Development, QA); and
- Leadership and Managerial Skills:
