Under limited supervision, prepares and analyzes daily cash forecast for all major RGA subsidiaries, in multiple currencies over various time horizons. Reviews all electronic payment requests for proper authorization and supporting documentation and approves as appropriate. Researches cash flows for internal and external customers, and ensures proper accounting of Treasury activity.
Principle Duties:
Manages liquidity and develops cash forecasts for multiple legal entities, accounts, and currencies over various time horizons. Works with critical departments within RGA to ensure all cash needs are communicated to Treasury so that sufficient cash is maintained for all operational needs.
Reviews all electronic payment requests for proper authorization, and supporting documentation and approves EFT transfers through Avantgard Treasury Workstation (AGI) and online banking systems. Ensures adequate cash balances to cover all payments initiated.
Researches and resolves questions and issues relating to RGA cash flows on behalf of both internal and external customers.
Reviews accounting entries before posting to general ledger and resolves any issues with related departments.
Invests excess cash balances until needed for disbursements or until cash is invested longer-term.
Reviews and verifies accuracy of letter of credit invoices, and coordinates the payment of and accounting for all RGA letter of credit fees.
Manages all treasury workstation updates and provides ongoing training of department personnel.
Documents procedures for daily Treasury processes and keeps documentation current.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent related work experience required
Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) or progress towards preferred
Work Experience:
5+ Years treasury or cash management experience required
Experience with treasury workstations and Bloomberg preferred
PeopleSoft or other accounting software applications experience preferred Insurance/Reinsurance experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
CTP certification or progress towards Preferred
Progress towards FLMI Preferred
Skills & Abilities:
Intermediate Word and Excel skills required
Advance oral and written communication and organization skills; Ability to share and impart knowledge required
Must be flexible and adaptive to change required
Takes initiative and is accountable. Basic goal setting skills required
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deliverables. Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives required
Complex investigative, analytical and problem solving skills required
Advanced knowledge of banking and treasury products and services required
Knowledge of foreign currency markets and exchange rate determination required
Ability to work well with all levels of management. Ability to work independently and within a team environment and participate in projects. required
Knowledge of securities settlement processes preferred
Understanding of accounting for currency derivatives preferred
Advanced understanding of cash forecasting techniques preferred

Compensation Range:
$78,080.00 - $110,860.00 AnnualBase pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
