About the Role

We are looking for an Application Specialist – Manufacturing/ERP to join the IT team of a global manufacturing organization.

In this role, you will support and enhance business-critical applications used in manufacturing operations. You will work closely with local business users and an international development team to understand requirements, implement system improvements, develop reports, and provide day-to-day application support.

This is a great opportunity for a software engineer or application developer who enjoys solving business problems through technology and wants to develop deeper expertise in ERP and manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance business applications supporting manufacturing operations.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and work with relational databases.
• Translate business requirements into practical application and system solutions.
• Develop reports and support business intelligence requirements.
• Investigate application issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Coordinate with local users and international IT/development teams on system enhancements and support.
• Participate in testing, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support and guidance to non-technical users when needed.
• Gradually take ownership of application-related requirements and serve as a key IT partner to the local manufacturing operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, technical diploma, or equivalent educational background in Software Development, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional software development/engineering experience.
• Strong SQL skills, including writing and optimizing queries and working with relational databases.
• Good understanding of software development fundamentals and application support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Comfortable working with international teams and collaborating across time zones.
• Willing to work onsite in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

Nice to Have

Experience with any of the following will be an advantage:

• Oracle Database / PL/SQL
• Stored procedures and database performance tuning
• C# / .NET / WPF
• Oracle Forms
• Power BI, QlikSense, QlikView, Tableau, or other BI/reporting tools
• Jasper Reports
• SAP or other ERP systems
• Manufacturing or industrial IT environments
• Basic German language skills

You don't need to have experience with every technology listed. Strong technical fundamentals and the ability to learn new systems are highly valued.
