SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for directing and coordinating activities of sales staff for the organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Conducts training sessions to present and discuss sales techniques, ethics, and methods of maintaining sales quotas.
  • Accompanies sales staff and clients to observe sales methods utilized, and counsels staff regarding matters such as professionalism, financing, and sales closings.
  • Confers with staff and clients to resolve problems such as adjusting sales price, repairing property, or accepting closing costs.
  • Sells or rents property for clients.
  • Manages residential and commercial properties for clients.
  • Confers with legal authority to determine if transactions are handled in accordance with state laws and regulations governing the real estate industry.
  • Assists in negotiating development contracts with land developers, contractors, and architects.
  • Reviews closing statements and attends closing transactions to represent the organization.
  • Budget planning and process control for the department.
  • Timely response to top executives and any stakeholders' requests and inquiries.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
