Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed - Property Access in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. In this armed, driving role supporting a financial institution construction location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of construction areas, office spaces, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Monitor access to restricted work areas, verify credentials as assigned, and help maintain orderly entry and exit of personnel, deliveries, and vehicles.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable armed post protocols.
• Prepare clear and timely activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications for Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and a rustic guard shack.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
