Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the M&A team in the Milan office of Alantra, a leading international investment bank with a strong European footprint and growing global platform.

Alantra operates with a lean deal team structure, providing VPs with significant ownership over transactions, direct exposure to clients, and the opportunity to play a key role in execution and junior team development.

Main responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of M&A and/or financing transactions.
• Coordinate due diligence processes (financial, legal, tax, commercial, etc.).
• Manage data rooms, Q&A processes, and interaction with advisors.
• Draft and review key transaction documents (IMs, teasers, management presentations, process letters).
• Oversee financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction structuring.
• Support negotiation phases alongside senior team members.
• Ensure timelines are met and execution risks are proactively managed.

Client Management

• Act as a primary contact for clients during execution phases.
• Maintain regular communication and provide strategic input throughout the process.
• Prepare and lead client meetings and update calls.
• Team Leadership
• Supervise and mentor Associates and Analysts.
• Ensure high standards of analytical rigor and presentation quality.
• Allocate tasks efficiently and manage team workload.

Requirements:

• 6–10 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, or similar advisory roles.
• Proven track record of leading transaction execution processes.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation expertise.
• Solid understanding of transaction documentation and deal structuring.
• Experience managing junior team members.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
