Msuez UK is a leading logistics company that specializes in providing efficient and reliable transport and distribution services to businesses in South Africa. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Logistics Assistant in our Durban office.
As a Logistics Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our logistics department. Your main duties will include coordinating and tracking shipments, communicating with clients and suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and track shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Communicate with clients and suppliers to provide updates on shipment status
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of all shipments and transactions
- Assist in the planning and execution of logistics operations
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory management
- Ensure compliance with all safety and transportation regulations
- Provide administrative support to the logistics team as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in a logistics or transportation role
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and procedures is a plus
