Description
We are looking for candidates with experience supporting Federal Government contracting offices, either as former 1102 civilian/military, or as contractor support. This particular position supports the Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) Office of Procurement Director with administrative support and selected procurement duties (like closeout).
Hiring Timeframe: Immediate
Work Location: This position is a full-time on-site role at Edwards Air Force Base, CA, with occasional report support based on the needs of the government. Seventh Sense will support your commute by contributing over $1,500 annually to your Transportation FSA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite administrative assistant functions in support of the Director of the AFRC Office of Procurement
- Manage Outlook calendars, take meeting minutes, prepare memoranda and other written correspondence
- Conduct records management functions for the Office of Procurement IAW AFRC and NASA policies
- Serve as lead for IT support requests (ordering, turn-in, and maintenance) for the Office of Procurement
- Distributes mail daily for the office
- Coordinates for VIP visit support
- Supports ordering of office supplies and supports all maintenance requests for the office
- Support badging and visit requests and escort visitors as required
- Support office moves and office organization
- Support travel requests and voucher preparation
- Supports contract closeout preparation for the entire Office of Procurement and send instruments to the closeout contractor
- Maintain work instruction(s) for assigned duties
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of relevant professional experience, OR
- High School Diploma and a minimum of 8 years of equivalent professional experience
- Experience with Federal procurement activities
- Ability to work full-time onsite on Edwards, AFB, CA
- Ability to gain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Experience with SharePoint as a user
- Previous experience providing senior level civil servants with administrative support
- Experience with Federal Records Management duties
- Expertise in verbal and written communications
- Proficiency in the MS suite of tools
- Procurement closeout experience

- Ability to function as part of a team
- Strong initiative with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Quick learner to adjust to new systems and tools
