Description
KenCrest is seeking an experienced and engaging Training & Development Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will design, coordinate, and facilitate training programs that support employee development, regulatory compliance, and service excellence across our organization. The ideal candidate is a passionate adult learning professional who enjoys building employee confidence, fostering inclusion, and helping staff succeed in their roles.
This position is primarily in-person, delivering training at KenCrest locations in Blue Bell, Germantown, and Malvern, with future opportunities to support locations in Delaware and Connecticut. While most training is conducted onsite, there will also be opportunities to facilitate virtual learning sessions. The schedule is Monday through Friday during standard business hours, with occasional Saturday availability preferred.
The Training & Development Specialist creates and delivers professional, effective, and engaging learning experiences for employees at all levels. This role plays a key part in onboarding, compliance training, leadership development, coaching, and ongoing professional education. The Specialist partners with leaders across the organization to ensure employees are prepared, confident, and equipped to provide high-quality services aligned with KenCrest's mission and values.
Some Essential Functions:
- Design and facilitate training programs using adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
- Deliver training to a diverse workforce on topics including New Employee Orientation, CPR/First Aid/AED, Medication Administration, MANDT, ODP compliance requirements, and professional development.
- Utilize a variety of instructional methods including classroom instruction, blended learning, demonstrations, role-playing, team exercises, discussions, and virtual learning.
- Coordinate and facilitate employee onboarding and ongoing training initiatives.
- Review, evaluate, and enhance existing training content to improve employee performance and organizational outcomes.
- Coach and support employees and leaders throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Foster employee engagement, inclusion, confidence, and job readiness through effective training and development practices.
- Support strategic workforce development initiatives, compliance efforts, and special projects as assigned.
- Facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions as needed.
- Travel periodically between training locations throughout Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Chester Counties. Occasional travel will be required to KenCrest facilities in DE and CT.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, Training & Development, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in training facilitation, coordination, and administration.
- Demonstrated experience applying adult learning principles and facilitating engaging training programs.
- Strong presentation, communication, and coaching skills.
- Experience using technology to design and deliver both in-person and virtual training.
- Ability to travel regularly between training locations.
- Willingness to work an occasional Saturday as business needs require.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the human services, healthcare, behavioral health, or social services industry.
- Experience managing or supporting learning management systems such as Relias, Workday, or similar platforms.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- MANDT certification.
- Familiarity with NADSP standards and practices.
- Experience supporting compliance-driven training programs.
