We are seeking a Compensation & Benefits Manager for India who will be responsible for managing compensation programs, benefits governance, compensation benchmarking, annual rewards processes, job evaluation, pay equity reviews, and rewards analytics. The role will partner closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Payroll, business leaders, and external vendors to ensure market competitiveness, internal equity, compliance, and strong employee experience across rewards programs.

Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain compensation frameworks, salary structures, pay ranges, and job grade alignment for India.
Lead annual compensation review processes including merit increases, market corrections, promotion increases, bonus inputs, and related compensation cycle governance.
Conduct market benchmarking using external salary survey data and internal compensation data to assess market competitiveness and recommend pay positioning actions.
Partner with Talent Management to align reward decisions with performance outcomes, promotion cycles, succession planning inputs, leadership development priorities, and retention strategies.
Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners to support compensation recommendations for offers, counteroffers, internal movements, and critical talent retention cases.
Manage benefits programs including group medical insurance, life and accident coverage, retirement benefits, wellness offerings, and other employee benefit programs applicable in India.
Lead benefits renewals, vendor coordination, employee communication, enrollment support, utilization review, and cost-benefit analysis for benefit programs.
Support job evaluation and role benchmarking exercises to ensure appropriate role alignment, grade placement, and internal parity across functions and service lines.
Conduct pay equity, compensation outlier, promotion, and post-cycle analyses to identify trends, exceptions, risks, and leadership actions.
Prepare compensation dashboards, workforce cost analysis, benefits utilization reports, and executive-ready insights for HR and business leadership.
Coordinate with Finance and Payroll to ensure accurate implementation of compensation outcomes, payroll inputs, variable pay, benefits deductions, and statutory requirements.
Ensure compensation and benefits processes are compliant with applicable India labor laws, tax requirements, social security obligations, data privacy expectations, and internal governance standards.
Manage relationships with compensation survey providers, consultants, insurance brokers, benefit vendors, and HR technology partners.
Drive process improvement, automation, documentation, and data integrity across compensation planning, benefits administration, and rewards reporting.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Commerce, or a related discipline.
8 to 12 years of overall HR experience, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits, Total Rewards, HR Analytics, or Rewards Operations.
Experience managing compensation cycles, salary benchmarking, benefits administration, job evaluation, and compensation governance for India.
Working knowledge of India compensation practices, employee benefits, payroll interface processes, and statutory compliance requirements.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong comfort with data validation, analysis, reporting, and presentation of insights.
Experience working with HRIS, compensation planning tools, payroll inputs, and employee data with strong confidentiality and data discipline.
Preferred / Desired Qualifications
Experience with compensation surveys and benchmarking platforms such as Mercer, Aon, WTW, Radford, or similar market data providers.
Experience in professional services, consulting, GCC, financial services, or a matrixed global organization.
Working knowledge of Power BI, HR dashboards, compensation planning systems, or other analytics and reporting platforms.
Experience supporting performance-linked rewards, promotion cycles, talent calibration, retention analysis, and leadership compensation reviews.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate data into clear recommendations for HR and business leaders.
