Job Summary
This key role is responsible for the Group’s cash management activities. Cash management is a key activity for the business to manage liquidity across all entities within the group. Working closely with the other Treasury teams based in Zurich, the Treasury Manager will liaise with regional and group finance teams to ensure the timely and accurate production of a cash flow forecast and the actual spendings in line with those daily. Managing payments on behalf of the Business units, obtaining data, variance analysis, identifying and follow ups of failed payments. Ensuring banking infrastructure is up to date. Actively support Treasury activities like bank guarantees, intercompany loans, treasury deal settlements and reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the ongoing transformation of Treasury Operations, including banking standardization, bank account rationalization, payment centralization and Treasury Management System enhancements.
- Coordinate the accurate and timely execution of payment requests, ensuring robust validation, integrity checks and compliance with established approval controls.
- Collaborate with the Group's strategic cash management banks to support banking services, connectivity, service enhancements and the timely resolution of operational issues.
- Support daily cash management activities, ensuring accurate monitoring of liquidity positions and timely escalation of issues.
- Support banking activities, including bank account openings and closures, maintenance of the company's bank account landscape, banking documentation, and Treasury Management System (TMS) administration.
- Produce treasury analytics and management reporting covering liquidity, banking KPIs, payment performance, bank fees, cash visibility and operational metrics.
- Support treasury systems and operational initiatives, maintaining a good understanding of treasury technologies, payment methods, XML payment files, and banking connectivity.
- Partner with regional finance teams, shared service centres, IT and banking partners to ensure efficient execution of Treasury Operations and continuous improvement of banking services.
- Take ownership of assigned treasury processes, ensuring effective follow-up and completion of tasks with minimal supervision.
- Act as a reliable point of contact for operational treasury matters, demonstrating initiative, accountability, and a problem-solving mindset.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Treasury role, in a large/medium sized fully international group.
- Working knowledge of cash flow (direct and indirect) and reporting.
- Ideally, you’ll have advanced Excel skills and an analytical mindset.
- Strong data analytical skills, ERP system experience and experience of using Excel in a practical business application is a plus.
- A commercial mindset due to the business partnering element of this role.
- Excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate position with clarity at all levels of a complex organization.
- Demonstrable ability to work with key stakeholders in multiple global locations and at various levels.
- Ability to get buy-in and commitment from internal / external stakeholders.
- High energy, high motivation.
- Strong work ethic.
- High proficiency in spoken and written English as the corporate language.
