About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Portfolio Coordinator
In this role, you will:
Research complex financial and credit information for commercial business, or high net worth customer loan packages, according to business unit standards within Commercial Banking Portfolio Management functional area
Review basic issues, policies, or procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained, related to low to medium risk tasks and deliverables
Underwrite loans with aggregate credit exposure based upon approved credit authority limits
Investigate credit standards and determine credit worthiness of high net worth loans
Receive direction from supervisor and exercise independent judgement while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with managers, functional colleagues, and stakeholders including internal as well as external customers
Required Qualifications:
6+ months of Commercial Banking Port
Desired Qualifications:
- Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- At least a B. Com or an equivalent degree preferably MBA
- Overall commercial credit experience across diversified asset class (includes corporate entities and real estate asset class)
- Good knowledge on financial statements for various industries with ability to ascertain trends, ratios and call out key risks when compared to benchmarks (historical and industry performance).
- Sound analytical thinking / high attention to detail with focus on research across various platforms
- High level of personal motivation, strong interpersonal skills to work across time zone
- Demonstrates strong ownership of work, ability to work independently, able to take judgement calls with realistic assumption and ability to articulate and present in the narratives.
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Intermediary to advanced excel skills would be a plus
- Understand the feedback received from the reviewers and implement the same in their day-to-day work.
- Quality check of work performed by junior team members and provide appropriate feedback on the same
- Analyze real estate related documents like Appraisal, Lease agreements
- Understanding and Application of AI Tools: Ability to leverage AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Tachyon, Agent space) for routine tasks such as summarizing information, drafting content, and analyzing data, while maintaining human oversight.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to interpret AI outputs, validate insights, and make informed business decisions.
- Responsible AI Use: Awareness of ethical considerations, data privacy, and compliance when using AI solutions.
- Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Commitment to upskilling and staying current with emerging technologies.
