Qualifications:

• Be an inventive creative writer.
• Ability to adapt to our unique brand voice quickly.
• Have a cool, calm and composed demeanor in a high-energy, fast-paced retail environment. (This isn’t your regular desk job!)
• Detail oriented, deadline driven personality that can thrive in a fast paced, in-house retail operations department.
• Bachelor’s degree required in English, Journalism, Communications or comparable degree with a strong writing focus.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a corporate retail environment.
• Compile a professional writing portfolio demonstrating brand and retail expertise.
• Strong writing and proofreading skills are an absolute necessity.
• Ability to compute basic retail math. Must be able to interpret strategic and business metrics into a customer-facing message/advertising copy.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at one time. This is also an absolute must!
• Microsoft Office proficiency required, can work creatively on a MAC and Adobe Creative Suite skills are a BIG plus.

Job Responsibilities:

• Write copy that is easy to consume and understand and by our field crew
• Follow copy guides easily while adapting to the brand voice quickly.
• Negotiate effective solutions that reconcile occasionally conflicting business and brand demands.
• Review all projects for clarity, accuracy, legal compliance.
• Collaborate with all internal stakeholders to maintain brand standards and assure accuracy of information.
• Manage time efficiently to meet all project deadlines. 
• Maintain strict adherence to production procedures, workflow and schedules.
• Perform copy-related administrative tasks like maintaining archives.
