Description
The Senior Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for improving equipment reliability, optimizing maintenance programs, and ensuring safe and compliant operations within a manufacturing or production environment. This role works closely with Engineering, Production, Safety, Quality, and external vendors to minimize equipment downtime, improve operational performance, control maintenance costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of maintenance engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment, with a strong background in preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include developing and executing preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, analyzing equipment failures, leading reliability improvement projects, monitoring maintenance KPIs, managing maintenance budgets, and identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve equipment performance.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline and demonstrate strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, project management, and leadership capabilities. Knowledge of OSHA, ISO, CMMS platforms, reliability methodologies, and regulatory compliance is highly valued.
Key Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering field

5+ years of maintenance engineering or related experience, preferably in manufacturing or production

Strong experience with preventive and corrective maintenance programs

Experience improving equipment reliability and reducing unplanned downtime

Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) capabilities

Experience analyzing equipment failures and implementing sustainable corrective actions

Knowledge of OSHA, ISO, safety requirements, and regulatory compliance

Experience monitoring maintenance and reliability KPIs

Ability to develop and manage maintenance budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities

Familiarity with CMMS and reliability assessment tools

Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, maintenance activities, and technical resources

Strong cross-functional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Master’s degree or additional maintenance/reliability certifications are considered a plus
