You will be responsible to:
As an Engineering & Maintenance professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, compliance and performance of manufacturing equipment and facilities, enabling operational excellence across the site.- Lead the maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of mechanical and electrical equipment to maximise reliability, efficiency and production performance.
- Drive equipment reliability initiatives through preventive maintenance, condition monitoring and root cause analysis to minimise downtime and prevent recurrence of failures.
- Identify, evaluate and implement innovative technical solutions and equipment upgrades that enhance operational capability, safety and yield.
- Champion a proactive maintenance culture, promoting best practices, continuous improvement and technical excellence across the organisation.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in full compliance with GMP, cGMP, health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Support the development and mentoring of maintenance teams, helping to build technical capability and optimise resource planning.
- Lead complex technical investigations, applying methodologies such as FMEA, 8D, Fault Tree Analysis and Fishbone Diagrams to solve critical equipment challenges.
- Oversee the execution of maintenance plans, coordinating effectively with production and cross-functional teams to support business priorities.
- Monitor and improve equipment performance through the definition, tracking and analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Manage and support technical projects with significant operational and business impact, ensuring timely delivery and sustainable results.
- Drive a strong safety culture by actively promoting safe working practices and continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Ensure maintenance documentation, technical procedures and SAP maintenance records are accurate, compliant and up to date.
- Manage maintenance-related budgets and external service providers, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality delivery.
- Promote efficient use of utilities, equipment and resources while maintaining high standards of housekeeping and asset care.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Hovione's policies, procedures and quality systems.
We are looking to recruit a Candidate:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
- Significant experience in maintenance, reliability engineering or asset management within a manufacturing environment, ideally within the pharmaceutical, chemical or highly regulated industries.
- Strong expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, equipment troubleshooting and reliability improvement.
- Proven experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably SAP PM.
- Solid understanding of GMP, cGMP and industry regulatory requirements related to maintenance activities.
- Experience applying maintenance and operational excellence methodologies such as TPM, 5S, FMEA and 8D.
- Demonstrated ability to lead investigations, solve complex technical challenges and drive sustainable improvements.
- Strong project management, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the confidence to work across multiple functions and levels of the organisation.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- A proactive, hands-on mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, safety and operational excellence.
