About Our Family
We're a warm, social family based out of Brooklyn, NY with a second home in the Berkshires, Massachusetts — a property we love and visit regularly throughout the year. We head up at least once a month, spend a month or two there in the summer, and make it a gathering place for holidays and guests. The home is large and lively when we're there.
We both work from home with flexible schedules, which means we move between properties with some rhythm and predictability. We have a young baby and a big, lovable Bernese Mountain Dog. We value a professional and respectful working relationship built on trust, competence, and clear communication.
Our Berkshires home already has a great team in place — a housekeeper, landscaper, and a caretaker who does weekly check-ins and seasonal tasks. What we need now is someone who can serve as the project-minded coordinator that ties it all together: a person who proactively manages vendors, keeps the property prepped and running smoothly, and handles the operational details so that every time we arrive, things are simply taken care of.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is a grounded, resourceful professional who thrives working independently and takes real pride in keeping a home running well. You have a project manager's mindset — you think ahead, communicate clearly, follow through without reminders, and come to the table with solutions rather than problems. You're at ease talking with contractors and vendors, you don't get rattled when things don't go according to plan, and you know how to troubleshoot calmly and effectively.
You're comfortable in a defined, professional working relationship and honor boundaries. You're the kind of person who takes pride in the details — a well-stocked fridge before the family arrives, a smoothly coordinated vendor visit, a household that hums along even when no one is watching. Being local to the Berkshires area is strongly preferred, as community knowledge and existing vendor relationships are a genuine advantage in this role. Potential for assisting with feeding or walking the dog on occasion, for the right, K-9 loving candidate.
