Personal Lines Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Personal Lines Account Manager to develop and maintain exceptional client relationships by providing outstanding customer service and expert advice on personal lines insurance products. The role includes acting as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met. Responsibilities

• Serve as the main liaison between clients and the insurance company regarding personal lines policies, including auto, home, and renters insurance.
• Manage and maintain a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring their satisfaction and retention.
• Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and process policy changes in a timely, professional manner.
• Provide expert advice to clients on policy coverage options that best suit their individual needs and circumstances.
• Prepare and present policy quotations and proposals tailored to the unique requirements of each client.
• Work closely with insurance carriers to negotiate terms, endorsements, and favorable pricing for clients.
• Monitor, assess, and understand personal lines marketplace trends and share insights with clients and team members.
• Ensure thorough and accurate documentation of client interactions, policy changes, and communications in the agency management system.
• Assist with advising clients during the claims process, providing guidance and support where needed.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and internal teams by fostering trust and open communication.

Qualifications/Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in personal lines insurance or account management.
• Active state insurance license in Property and Casualty (or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe).
• Strong knowledge of personal lines insurance products, markets, and underwriting processes.
• Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient in using agency management systems and insurance-related software.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills that prioritize client satisfaction and organizational goals.
