About the role

 

As a Development Manager, you will lead the design, coordination, and execution of learning and development initiatives that strengthen the capabilities, engagement, and performance of our colleagues. This role partners closely with leaders across the resort to identify development needs, deliver impactful learning experiences, and foster a culture of continuous growth aligned with Four Seasons standards and values.

 

What you will do

·         Identify learning and development needs across departments through collaboration with leaders, performance discussions, and organizational priorities.

·         Design, coordinate, and facilitate training programs, workshops, and development initiatives for colleagues at all levels.

·         Partner with department leaders to develop and implement individual and team development plans.

·         Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs, ensuring new colleagues receive a consistent and engaging introduction to the resort, culture, and service standards.

·         Support leadership development initiatives, succession planning, talent reviews, and internal career development programs.

·         Promote a culture of continuous learning, feedback, coaching, and professional growth across the resort.

·         Monitor participation, completion, and effectiveness of learning programs and provide regular reports and recommendations to leadership.

·         Coordinate internal trainers, subject-matter experts, and external training partners as needed.

·         Develop and maintain learning materials, training resources, presentations, and development tools.

·         Support the implementation of Four Seasons learning initiatives, standards, and corporate programs at the property level.

·         Collaborate with Human Resources and operational departments to ensure development initiatives support business objectives and guest experience standards.

·         Identify opportunities to strengthen internal mobility and prepare colleagues for future career opportunities within the organization.

·         Maintain accurate learning and development records, ensuring compliance with required training and certifications.

·         Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, observations, performance indicators, and follow-up with department leaders.

·         Represent the Four Seasons brand by creating learning experiences that reflect our culture of service excellence and commitment to people.

 

What you bring

·         Minimum 3 years of experience in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Talent Development, or a related field, preferably within luxury hospitality.

·         Experience designing and facilitating training programs for diverse audiences and organizational levels.

·         Strong knowledge of learning and development principles, adult learning methodologies, and talent development practices.

·         Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are an asset.

·         Strong facilitation, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

·         Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

·         Strong coaching, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

·         Ability to analyze development needs and translate them into practical and impactful learning solutions.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems or other digital learning platforms.

·         High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail.

·         Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by business needs.

Schedule & Hours:

·         Full-time position

·         Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on operational needs
