FAES | Food, Agricultural and Biological EngineeringThe Food Agricultural and Biological Engineering is seeking a semester Lecturer (temporary) that will be responsible for teaching CONSYSM 3450 – Estimating for Construction (4 credit hours) and providing full instructional leadership for the course throughout the appointment period. Responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging course content, facilitating classroom and/or laboratory instruction, and supporting student learning and success.
Duties include maintaining regular contact hours with students, holding office hours, participating in instructional team meetings, grading assignments and assessments, and preparing course materials. The instructor will also supervise Undergraduate Teaching Assistants (UTAs), develop and maintain course-related e-learning content, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through participation in departmental and university peer evaluations of teaching, accreditation activities, and assessment processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction estimating principles, practices, and methodologies.
- Strong communication and instructional skills with the ability to effectively engage and support students.
