Description
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the Executive Chef.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Monitor inventory and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with daily cleaning and sanitation of kitchen.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to meet the needs of the restaurant.
- Assist with special events and catering as needed.
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
