THE ROLE
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing menu items with consistency, quality, and efficiency while supporting an exceptional fine dining culinary experience. This role ensures all food is prepared in accordance with Legends Global recipes, specifications, food safety standards, and sanitation requirements while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain a safe work environment to reduce the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Inspect kitchen work areas to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and proper setup, and promptly report hazardous conditions, unsafe practices, or equipment concerns.
- Maintain a professional kitchen appearance, including cleanliness, proper culinary attire, and organized workstations.
- Follow assignments and direction provided by the Executive Chef, Sous Chef(s), and Culinary Supervisors for food preparation and opening and closing responsibilities.
- Prepare menu items in accordance with Legends Global recipes, portion specifications, presentation standards, and quality expectations.
- Maintain HACCP standards by ensuring proper food temperatures, product rotation, sanitation, and food-handling procedures.
- Clean and maintain kitchen workstations, walk-in coolers, dry-storage areas, shelving, walls, floors, and drains.
- Ensure food-preparation equipment is clean, sanitized, safe, and operational, and promptly report maintenance concerns to culinary leadership.
- Receive, inspect, identify, label, store, and rotate meats, poultry, seafood, produce, dairy products, starches, and other food items in accordance with established food-safety and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with culinary team members to support timely preparation, service, and delivery of high-quality food.
- Assist with station setup, production needs, and other kitchen responsibilities as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum one (1) year of kitchen, food preparation, or culinary experience preferred
- Experience in a high-volume restaurant, catering, stadium, arena, hotel, or attraction environment preferred
- Food Handler Certification preferred or required based on local regulations
- Culinary education or formal culinary training is a plus
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations, food preparation techniques, and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Flexible schedule with availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and event days
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, stoop, push, pull, and lift throughout shifts
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to work safely with knives, kitchen equipment, and cleaning chemicals
COMPENSATION
$22/hour + a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k) plan.
