An employee in this position is responsible for the total process of determining/redetermining applicant/client eligibility for the Food and Nutrition Services Income Maintenance Program which includes intake, processing, and review functions.

Interviews clients to obtain required information, completing initial applications, verifying the information obtained, determining eligibility or completing scheduled program reviews.
Explains program requirements and options and advises or refers clients to other program services as appropriate.
Performs other duties as assigned, which may include shelter duty.
One year of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker;
Or, an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred but not required: NCFast Phase I & 2 Training Certificates.
Special Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Criminal records check, drug screen, references and, when applicable, transcripts will be required for the successful candidate.
