Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and support production schedules.
- Lead the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.
- Track, analyze, and report equipment downtime, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Coordinate PLC troubleshooting, repairs, and improvement projects to maintain equipment reliability and optimize performance.
- Interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts, and technical documentation to support maintenance activities and equipment improvements.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to resolve equipment-related issues and improve manufacturing performance.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with company safety standards, environmental requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, downtime reports, and KPI metrics.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance, maintenance processes, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing production demands.
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, preventive maintenance systems, and manufacturing processes.
Education
- Associate degree in Maintenance Technology, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience coordinating maintenance activities or leading maintenance personnel preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Experience utilizing root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems, maintenance documentation, and manufacturing KPI reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Supervisor Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide daily leadership, direction, and support to a team of nine Maintenance Technicians across three shifts, ensuring safe work practices, efficient maintenance operations, and consistent support of production objectives.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly stand and walk for extended periods while working in manufacturing environments
- Communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through electronic communication
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull items such as documents, sample parts, or small tools (up to 50 lbs.)
- Work safely in environments that may include noise, temperature variation, moving equipment, and industrial materials
- Ability to effectively communicate in Business English
