JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Assistant Food & Beverage Outlets Manager plays a critical leadership role in delivering exceptional guest experiences across our Brazos Proper Texas Kitchen and Junction Marketplace operations. As a key member of the Food & Beverage leadership team, this position is responsible for leading mainly evening operations, developing front-of-house team members, ensuring operational excellence, and driving service standards that embody the spirit of Howdy Hospitality.
This hands-on leadership position requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, leads by example on the floor, and is passionate about hospitality, team development, and operational execution. While supporting all meal periods as business needs require, the primary focus of this role will be overseeing dinner service and evening operations.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
• $55,000 Salary – Paid biweekly (every two weeks)

SCHEDULE:
The hospitality industry is 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days of the year. All candidates must be available and are expected to work Texas A&M football game days, Ring Days, graduations, and other high occupancy times due to special events.
• Full-Time: 40-50 hours, dependent on hotel forecast.
• Hours: Needs to have open flexibility.
• Days: Vary based on forecasted business demands
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Team Development
· Lead and oversee nightly front-of-house operations to ensure exceptional guest service and operational efficiency.
· Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of motivated hospitality professionals.
· Foster a positive, professional, and engaging work environment built on accountability, teamwork, and recognition.
· Coach and mentor team members through ongoing feedback, performance development, and corrective action when necessary.
· Lead pre-shift meetings and service briefings to communicate priorities, menu updates, and service expectations.
· Ensure consistent execution of departmental and company service standards.
Guest Experience
· Create memorable dining experiences by actively engaging with guests and resolving concerns with urgency and professionalism.
· Maintain visible floor leadership during service periods, providing support wherever needed.
· Monitor service standards, food quality, beverage execution, cleanliness, and overall guest satisfaction.
· Anticipate guest needs and identify opportunities to elevate the dining experience.
Restaurant & Bar Operations
· Oversee daily operations across all food and beverage outlets with a strong emphasis on dinner and evening service.
· Maintain working proficiency in all front-of-house positions, including: Host, Server, Bartender, Barback, Food Runner, Support Staff, etc.
· Ensure proper staffing levels based on business volume and forecasted demand.
· Support special events, catering functions, private dining experiences, and restaurant reservations.
· Monitor compliance with all local, state, company, and brand regulations and standards.
Inventory & Financial Performance
· Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and storage of food, beverage, and operating supplies.
· Support cost control initiatives related to labor, beverage cost, supplies, and operational expenses.
· Monitor outlet performance and contribute to achieving revenue and profitability goals.
· Participate in forecasting, budgeting, payroll review, scheduling, and labor management.
· Ensure proper cash handling and adherence to all financial controls.
Training & Product Knowledge
· Maintain expert knowledge of food, beverage, wine, cocktail, and specialty menu offerings.
· Support ongoing training programs focused on service excellence, product knowledge, and operational consistency.
· Identify opportunities to improve service procedures, increase efficiencies, and enhance guest satisfaction.
· Champion a culture of continuous learning and hospitality excellence.
What are we looking for?
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
· Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, resort, or upscale food and beverage environment.
· Strong understanding of front-of-house restaurant operations.
· Experience leading and motivating teams in a fast-paced service setting.
· Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special event dates.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and restaurant POS systems.
· Ability to obtain and maintain:
· Texas Food Handler Certification
· TABC Certification
Preferred:
· Hotel food and beverage experience.
· Experience managing dinner-focused operations and bar service.
· Knowledge of wine service, craft cocktails, and elevated dining standards.
· Familiarity with MICROS, OpenTable, or similar hospitality technology platforms.
· Experience in conference center or large-scale event operations.
