Position Overview
Our Client's Project Managers have either a restoration or construction focus. The qualified candidate will serve as an industry expert and support local, regional, or national teams on large, complex, and high-risk/high-profile projects. The Project Manager may also participate in disaster response and regional damage recovery efforts and may have the opportunity to advance into estimating.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all Our Client service lines.
- For construction projects, understand project scope, schedules, safety requirements, quality control, and professional communication.
- Develop strong project management capabilities, including time management, budgeting, scheduling, site supervision, customer relations, communication, quality control, safety, documentation, and change orders.
- Continuously advance knowledge of current and past construction practices.
- Review daily project requirements, document progress, and communicate project challenges.
- Provide field documentation, photo logs, graphs, sketches, and other required project documentation.
- Perform skills related to advanced fire damage, water damage, and carpentry services.
- Qualify vendors and subcontractors and guide them through the vendor qualification process.
- Manage both fixed-bid and time-and-material projects.
- Understand project invoicing requirements and provide appropriate supporting documentation.
- Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections.
- Maintain strong attention to detail and safeguard customers' property.
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Work effectively under time constraints and meet project deadlines.
- Work nights and weekends as required and travel periodically.
- Accurately report time worked and equipment and consumables used.
- Attend company-sponsored operations and safety training as required.
Requirements
- Assist other Project Managers and Senior Project Managers and volunteer for disaster-response assignments when possible.
- Advance technical knowledge of restoration services or, for construction-focused candidates, knowledge of building codes and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Serve as a role model for Superintendents.
- Identify opportunities to sell and upgrade additional services on assigned projects.
- Communicate daily with Estimators regarding project status, timeline adjustments, and issues.
- Continually improve core project management skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to complete projects on time and within budget while maintaining documented customer satisfaction.
- For construction-focused candidates:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee employees and subcontractors through all phases of work.
- Read and manage blueprints.
- Manage projects exceeding $1 million.
- Understand and comply with applicable building codes and regulatory requirements.
- For restoration-focused candidates:
- Direct small crews of company personnel and temporary workers.
- Manage projects exceeding $1 million.
- Attend approved training courses in areas requiring additional experience.
- Manage large crews and projects through crew leaders and other assistants.
- Manage and document time-and-material projects and collaborate with Project Managers or Estimators on restoration plans.
- Supervise multiple crews simultaneously across multiple projects.
Compensation and Benefits
Our Client offers competitive pay and a wide range of benefit options, including 401(k) with match, medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, Employee Assistance Program, paid holidays, and paid time off. This position has a pay range of $70,304 to $80,000 annually, with opportunities for additional compensation.
