Position: Mechanical Planner
Location: Sabine Pass, TX (3 positions) and Beaumont, TX (2 positions)
70-75 per hour

*Local candidates only (no living allowance offered). *Must haves, non-negotiables: 1) Strong SAP
experience. 2) 5+ years of industry experience. 3) Solid understanding of maintenance planning, NOT
turnaround. 4) Valid TWIC card upon candidate submission. *This role is behind a desk with very
limited time spent in the field. *Work schedule: M-F, 6:30am-3:00pm. Limited OT opportunities.
*Duration: 18 months then will reevaluate based on performance and business need. *Max bill rate of
$106.75/hour. *Virtual panel interview with potentially a second interview. *Looking to move quickly
and begin interviews as early as next week. *Suppliers will start with 6 only submission slots.
Summary:
The Mechanical Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance and
reliability activities to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. This role requires strong
expertise in SAP S/4HANA, maintenance planning and execution processes, and the development of work
packages, schedules, and maintenance strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with
Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and contractors to ensure effective work execution,
regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of maintenance performance.
Job Duties:
Maintenance Planning & Scheduling
• Plan maintenance and reliability programs for assigned assets.
• Create, develop, and maintain project, maintenance, and outage plans utilizing planning
software.
• Prioritize maintenance activities to support efficient response times, backlog management, and
cost control.
• Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and long-range maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate work orders and schedules with Operations and Maintenance personnel.
• Manage the dispatching and scheduling of work activities in coordination with supervision and
field personnel.
• Schedule and coordinate small- to medium-scale maintenance projects.

• Develop detailed job plans and job packs containing all necessary information for successful
execution.
• Ensure work orders are properly documented and maintained within the CMMS.
• Identify material requirements and coordinate with vendors and supply chain personnel to
ensure availability of materials and resources.
• Provide technical support related to CMMS and maintenance management systems.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
• Assist in the development of maintenance and reliability KPIs.
• Generate reports related to schedule compliance, maintenance performance, and regulatory
requirements.
• Analyze deviations, trends, and performance variations, including graphical reporting and
presentations.
• Recommend improvements to maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
• Request updates to procedures and assist in developing and revising maintenance procedures.
• Recommend and support training initiatives to improve maintenance effectiveness and execution
quality.
Financial & Administrative Support
• Assist with budget development and maintenance cost management activities.
• Support reporting, documentation, and administrative functions related to maintenance
planning.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
Job Requirements:
Education
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical Degree or related technical training preferred.
Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience utilizing SAP within oil and gas, petrochemical,
pipeline, LNG, or related industrial facilities.
• Strong experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution processes.
• Demonstrated experience developing maintenance job plans and work packages.

• Experience with maintenance planning rather than turnaround planning required.
• Experience scheduling small- to medium-scale projects preferred.
Technical Knowledge & Skills
• Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA required.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution best practices.
• Experience with planning and scheduling software; system definition and build experience is a
plus.
• Prometheus experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar project planning software preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
• Experience with work estimation and planning for:
o Scaffolding
o Painting
o Insulation
o Rigging and lifting operations
o Heavy equipment operations
o Welding
o Fabrication
o Machining
• Experience in PHMSA-regulated pipeline facilities preferred.
• Experience with gas compression and metering equipment preferred.

Work Schedule
• Monday through Friday, approximately 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Limited overtime opportunities may be available.
