Reporting to the IT Manager – Government Services, the IT Government Services Delivery Coordinator is role is responsible for coordinating and supporting the delivery of IT initiatives across Bristow’s Search and Rescue (SAR) and Government Services operations.
The role will act as a key link between IT and operational stakeholders, ensuring that projects, system enhancements, and service improvements are effectively planned, communicated, and delivered.
In addition to providing technical support, the position will focus on coordinating change activities, tracking project deliverables, supporting governance processes, and ensuring alignment between business requirements and IT solutions. This includes working closely with regional and global stakeholders to support project timelines, resource planning, and successful service adoption across SAR flight operations systems.
The role will also contribute to continuous improvement by supporting reporting, analysing operational data, and identifying opportunities to optimise IT service delivery and project outcomes.
The position will be based in the UK, with a requirement for occasional international travel.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate with regional and global SAR stakeholders, IT teams, and third‑party providers to support the delivery of IT projects, enhancements, and service improvements in line with operational priorities.
- Support project planning and execution activities, including tracking milestones, managing dependencies, and maintaining project documentation and reporting.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring requirements are clearly captured, communicated, and translated into deliverable outcomes.
- Provide technical support for SAR IT systems where required, including assisting with deployment, troubleshooting, and issue resolution to maintain service continuity.
- Support Change Management activities by coordinating impact assessments, scheduling changes, tracking implementation progress, and ensuring effective communication to stakeholders.
- Assist in the development of project documentation, including business requirements, Statements of Work (SoWs), project plans, and service transition materials.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), project progress, and service metrics to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate onboarding and access provisioning activities for SAR personnel, ensuring alignment with project timelines and operational readiness.
- Support the delivery and coordination of training, user engagement, and service adoption activities for new systems and enhancements.
- Maintain and update documentation, knowledge base articles, and process guides to support standardised delivery and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate in major incident and service restoration activities, ensuring communication and coordination across stakeholders during critical events.
- Support resource planning and coordination across initiatives to ensure effective utilisation and delivery capability.
Accountability
- Accountable for supporting the coordination and successful delivery of IT projects, system enhancements, and service improvement initiatives across SAR and Government Services.
- Responsible for ensuring effective communication, tracking, and alignment between stakeholders, IT teams, and third‑party providers.
- Supports the timely resolution of technical issues while contributing to structured project delivery and change governance processes.
- Contributes to identifying opportunities for service optimisation, improved delivery practices, and the adoption of new technologies.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, with 3+ years’ experience in a similar IT support or service delivery role.
- Demonstrable experience supporting, administering, and resolving issues within flight operations, emergency services, or other safety‑critical operational environments.
- Strong working knowledge of modern IT technologies, including SaaS platforms, cloud computing, and enterprise environments, with experience of Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS preferred.
- Practical knowledge of ITIL‑aligned service management practices, including Incident Management, Service Request Management, and Change Enablement, with experience using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow considered beneficial.
- Proven ability to translate business and operational requirements into clear technical and service requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively and professionally with IT teams, business stakeholders, end users, management, and external parties including OEMs and third‑party service providers.
- A sound understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, with awareness of relevant regulatory, data protection, and compliance requirements to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of operational data.
