Role Summary
 

Join Vanguard's VISCO team and help build next-generation workflow and case management solutions on the Appian platform. As an Application Engineer II, you will design, develop, and support scalable business process automation solutions while partnering with business and technology teams to deliver impactful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support Appian applications, including process models, interfaces, records, reports, and integrations.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions using Appian best practices.
• Build and maintain integrations with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, solution design, code reviews, testing, and production support.
• Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD, performance optimization, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to Vanguard's architecture, security, risk, and development standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology to deliver high-quality solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Appian development.
• Experience building Appian workflows, records, interfaces, integrations, and reports.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, SQL, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience working in Agile teams and modern software development practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Appian Certified Developer or Associate Developer certification.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Exposure to workflow orchestration, case management, AI, RPA, or intelligent automation solutions.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, and application monitoring.
• Experience with Java and advanced SQL development.

Location

This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard’s India office. Only qualified external applicants will be considered.
