Marketing & Communications Specialist - Marine Propulsion

Your Role and Responsibilities  

As Marketing and Communications Specialist for Global Business Line Marine Propulsion you will work on projects and initiatives that build up the position of the Marine & Ports division’s offering worldwide. 

 
You will join a global workplace and work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager for the Business Line, plus peers in sales, technology, product, and management, to contribute to the Business Line’s development through effective marketing and communications. This position will be based in Vuosaari, Helsinki and we would expect you to be there a couple of times per week. 

You will be mainly accountable for: 

• Support the development and execution of marketing and communications plans, budgets and analytics for specific projects and initiatives within the Business Line. Analyze the impact of activities to demonstrate value creation and inform future actions. 

• Develop key messages, visuals and marketing materials that address customer challenges and clearly communicate ABB’s value proposition for specific offerings and projects. Create content such as success stories, case studies and technical solution materials to build customer preference. 

• Plan and implement targeted marketing and communications campaigns using a mix of digital marketing, media relations, conferences and customer events to engage priority audiences. 

• Support the development and execution of press releases and other media activities that enhance visibility and market awareness. 

• Contribute to internal communication activities across the Business Line, including town halls and employee engagement platforms such as the intranet and Viva Engage. 

• Collaborate closely with global Marketing & Communications and Sales colleagues to support business objectives, while actively representing Business Line Marine Propulsion within the Marine & Ports division's Marketing & Communications team.

Qualifications for the Role  

• 2+ years of experience with a proven track record of delivering impactful marketing and communications initiatives, preferably in an international environment.

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including creative agencies

• Solid project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional communication efforts, delivering results on time and within budget

• Knowledge of digital communications, event management, and media relations, with demonstrated hands-on experience in planning and executing activities across these areas.

• Ability to translate technical features into commercial benefits

• Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
