Senior Developer

📍 Location: Hyderabad, India | Hybrid – 2 Days in the Office

About the Role

The Senior Developer is responsible for the overall performance of the product by applying principles of software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software. In this role, you will ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software within release timelines and guidelines — while providing technical leadership, mentorship, and strategic guidance to the broader engineering team.

This is a role for a seasoned engineer who thinks beyond the code — someone who understands business impact, drives technical excellence, and raises the bar for those around them.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.

• Develop complex code based on functional specifications; complete logic and algorithm design in alignment with established standards, translating software requirements into design specifications while ensuring full adherence to technical and business requirements.
• Perform complex peer code reviews and analysis; provide insight on the broader impact of software changes, incorporate business value into technical decisions, and influence and guide other team members toward scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Create and apply automated tests and test principles — including unit tests — to software changes, and contribute to the implementation of a delivery pipeline encompassing test automation, security, and performance standards.
• Research and resolve complex escalations for production issues and software code defects to ensure application stability; implement development standards that ensure compliance with product and industry practices and regulations.
• Influence and lead on team standards and processes including planning, work estimation, solution demos, reviews, and implementation design discussions, driving continuous improvement across the engineering team.
• Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to team members; understand business applications and coding tasks to make recommendations for internal process improvements and product documentation.

Role Essentials

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 6–10 years of software engineering experience; demonstrated expertise in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles applied to complex, production-grade software systems.

Significant experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages including Java, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Python, or JavaScript, with demonstrated experience working in Windows/Linux development environments using open source tools and platforms.

Demonstrated experience with build environments, delivery pipelines, and continuous software delivery, with hands-on proficiency in test automation, continuous integration tools, and software application testing methodologies and process frameworks.

Strong oral and written communication skills with a professional demeanor; strong collaboration skills applied successfully across all levels of the organization, with a proven ability to influence, motivate, and mobilize team members and business partners.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; self-motivated with the ability to manage complex projects to completion with minimal oversight, and a demonstrated ability to establish rapport, gain trust, and drive consensus across cross-functional teams.

Proven ability to mentor, coach, and develop engineering talent, including providing technical and constructive feedback to team members and contributing performance insights and observations to leadership.

Strong ability to translate strategic goals into the implementation of new ideas and design solutions using original thinking, with experience recommending internal process improvements and contributing meaningfully to product documentation.

Intellectually curious, passionate, and driven to learn — a sharp, fast learner with strong technology curiosity, aptitude, and a demonstrated commitment to staying current professionally in a rapidly evolving engineering landscape.

Good ability to establish rapport, gain trust, and achieve consensus effectively across cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and all levels of the organization, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach to technical challenges.

Flexibility to support up to 10% travel for in-person collaboration, team engagements, or project needs, with an openness to working across distributed teams and time zones as required.
