Description of Work
Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
The Office of the Governor of North Carolina is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented interns to support the work of the Communications Team. The intern will draft written materials, including press releases and video scripts, contribute to memos and talking points, and monitor local and national media. This internship is unpaid with a one-time stipend.
Internship Details:
Location: Raleigh, NC
Schedule: 15 weeks (10 hours/week-some early mornings required)
Term Dates: August 17, 2026 – December 4, 2026
Compensation: Internship offers a competitive one-stipend of $560.00.
Key roles duties:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate course of study
- Demonstrated interest in North Carolina news and current events
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated team player
- Excellent written, verbal, and media literacy communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Preferred: Experience with TVEyes
