Job Description Summary

Staff Technical Product Manager will define the strategy and lead execution of digital solutions for the Quality organization, with a focus on scaling AI across GE Aerospace’s Quality Management System (QMS). This role will identify and deliver AI-enabled opportunities in inspection, conformity, and quality data and analytics, using a combination of technical, process, and domain expertise to drive adoption across the Integrated Quality team.

Working closely with Quality leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, this person will shape product vision, validate concepts through rapid prototyping, and partner with software teams to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions. The role requires strong technical product leadership, hands-on AI experimentation, and end-to-end business ownership across the product lifecycle, including finance, compliance, and operations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Own product strategy and roadmap

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision aligned to business outcomes and customer needs

  • Maintain, prioritize, and continuously refine the product backlog, MVPs, and quarterly release plans

  • Balance new features, technical debt, and defect resolution to maximize value delivery

  • Lead AI-driven rapid prototyping

  • Use AI tools (for example, Claude Opus with Visual Studio Code) to quickly create and iterate on working prototypes with stakeholders

  • Capture and codify lessons learned and best practices for “vibe coding” and AI-assisted prototyping, and feed them into future product iterations

  • Collaborate with software engineering to harden prototypes into scalable, secure, production-ready solutions

  • Engage deeply with customers and stakeholders

  • Conduct VOC sessions, interviews, and persona development to validate problems and refine requirements

  • Translate ambiguous or unstructured requests into clear user stories and acceptance criteria

  • Use strong influencing and negotiation skills to align customers, product, UX, architecture, and engineering around a single prioritized view

  • Provide technical and delivery leadership

  • Partner closely with engineering, UX, and architecture for refinement, design, and validation

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of technology stacks, including APIs, data transfer, caching, scalability, and security, and their impact on product decisions

  • Ensure a healthy Agile delivery process; own sprint and release backlogs and support high-quality execution

  • Coach and elevate the organization

  • Mentor junior TPMs and team members; provide technical product leadership across the organization

  • Apply and coach Agile practices; model continuous improvement and data-driven decision making

  • Demonstrate superior product and industry knowledge to help the organization gain a competitive edge

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience “vibe coding” with AI and integrating AI into product workflows

  • Demonstrated knowledge of topics such as APIs, caching, data transfer, scalability, and security

Business Acumen

  • Skilled at breaking down complex problems, framing clear problem statements, and estimating effort

  • Ability to assess tradeoffs and impact of technology choices

  • Strong negotiation skills to balance and align competing stakeholder priorities

Leadership

  • Influences through others and builds strong cross-functional support for ideas

  • Anticipates downstream implications of decisions and adjusts strategies accordingly

  • Communicates the “why” behind decisions and continuously reflects to improve judgment

  • Contributes to technical and product strategy planning

Personal Attributes

  • Strong critical thinking; finds patterns and insights in seemingly unrelated information

  • Energizes and aligns others around a common vision, persisting through obstacles and change
